The Master Nymph Academy was formed in 2017 by Nicole Darland to provide coaching and instruction services to private individuals, organizations and companies.

With a vast career in the fly fishing industry, ranging from luxury fly fishing destination trips, hosting her own fly fishing and fly tying instruction TV show for two seasons, being the Vice President of sales and marketing for one of the nations most experienced fishing rod manufacturing companies, Nicole joined forces with her husband Jason Lieverst to create something that had never been done before – a bespoke, tailor-made instruction service for people, organizations and businesses that wanted to learn everything about the European Nymphing technique the correct way.

Utilizing her husbands career in competitive fly fishing, which in itself spans more than three decades, it became very obvious, very quickly that the Master Nymph Academy was something that her boutique rod business, Master Nymph and its customers wanted.

Jason Lieverst’s experience in every aspect of competitive angling ranging from actually competing for two different countries at the highest International levels, coaching and educating anglers in English lake angling, and of course the European Nymphing techniques, tying the flies needed for both of those techniques, being an important part of the International Sport Fly Fishing Federation (FIPS Mouche) organizing committee where he acted as Chief of International Supervision and FairPlay for many years working on over 20 international fly fishing championships around the world, combined with Nicoles illustrious career became the foundation for the Master Nymph Academy.

Although we are extremely limited on how much time we can dedicate to this service, only actually having 20 or so days per years to offer this service, we have built a strong following of very satisfied repeat customers, that book with us again each and every year!
